PANTU: Balai Ringin assemblyman Datuk Snowdan Lawan has allocated RM15,000 under the Minor Rural Project (MRP) to the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Pantu.
The contribution was made during the ‘Majlis Merarau’ organised by the PTA at Balai Hall here on Saturday.
During the same event, Snowdan who serves as Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Deputy Minister, also contributed 16 sets of 43-inch televisions for the students’ educational use.
During his address he emphasised the significance of a strong partnership between parents and teachers in nurturing highly dedicated and knowledgeable students.
He stressed that parents should play an active role in educating their children at home to protect them from immoral social influences.
The ceremony was also attended by the headmaster of SK Pantu Abdul Razak, as well as the SK Pantu PTA chairman Bonny Minson.
