KOTA SAMARAHAN: The Rural Entrepreneurs Mini Carnival (KUD) is poised to make a significant impact on the 100 rural entrepreneurs participating, according to Datuk Rubiah Wang.

The federal Deputy Rural and Regional Development Minister noted that the carnival serves as a vital platform for entrepreneurs to showcase their products and receive guidance for business success.

“The mini carnival provides a wonderful opportunity for rural entrepreneurs from across Sarawak to exhibit their products.

“For example, we have entrepreneurs showcasing their rice products from as far as Sri Aman, which is truly inspiring to witness.”

Speaking to the media on Thursday (Feb 1), she expressed satisfaction with the event’s organisation and hoped visitors would enjoy the diverse offerings.

“I am delighted to bring this carnival to Sarawak, particularly to Kota Samarahan, to provide entrepreneurs with access to ministry-prepared facilities.”

Rubiah also outlined various activities scheduled throughout the four-day programme, including fun rides, fun runs, religious talks, and an archery competition.

“Notably, a poco-poco marathon is planned, and we are aiming for recognition in the Malaysia Book of Records for the most participation in poco-poco, with 3,000 participants.”

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Rural and Regional Development, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is set to officiate the carnival on the second day.
