KUCHING: The Pertubuhan Anak Seni Bandarsah Kuching (PASBK) community hall is expected to be completed in August this year.
According to the its chairman Abdul Rahman Zainudin, the hall has now reached 90 per cent physical completion and will be able to accommodate over 500 people at a time.
“The hall, which is located at Lot 295 Kampung Bandarsah, is expected to assist residents of the village as well as visitors in organising activities.
“Apart from that, it will also be used to further strengthen all of the initiatives that our organisation has planned,” he said.
He said this during the Majlis Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri Kampung Bandarsah at Waterfront Hotel here, yesterday.
During the event, Abdul Rahman also expressed his gratitude to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
“I would like to express my gratitude to our Premier because all of our activities and the growth of our hall would not have been possible without his and the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government’s support and encouragement,” he said.
He also requested for an increase in funding for the hall.
According to him, the extra funds are needed to finish the entire development, including its beautification and hall-related inputs.
