KUCHING: Some 2,000 Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) leaders and delegates will be attending the Triennial Delegates Meeting (TGM) from June 17 to 19 here.

PBB information chief Datuk Idris Buang said Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, who is also PBB president, officiating at the opening ceremony on June 18.

“The party’s Youth Wing will kick off its meeting on June 17, followed by the main party on June 18, and the Women’s Wing on June 19,” he told the media at the PBB headquarters, Jalan Bako here today.

“We have a strategy at our leadership level in terms of political, economic, women and youth development.

“In one spirit, we will carry on this struggle to a higher level than before. We want to be a political party that truly fights for the people based on the spirit of the Malaysia Agreement 1963 and to set a direction towards a strong economic growth for the state and its people.
