Permanent farmers market in Daro soon

DARO: A permanent ‘pasar tani’ (farmers market) will be established in Daro soon.

Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad said the market was approved by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg during his last visit with an allocation of RM15mil.

He said this at the launch of Program Jualan Khas Syawal Madani and Jelajah Ramadan held recently.

At the same event, he also announced an allocation of RM5,000 to the Daro Farmers Market Association to purchase additional canopies and tables.

Meanwhile, the programme was organised by the Daro Farmers Market Association under the supervision of the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama) in collaboration with Bank Rakyat Mukah branch.

Safiee also handed out food basket donations by Bank Rakyat Mukah branch and Mukah Fama to 32 asnafs.
