KUCHING: Petra Jaya incumbent Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof visited the Chinese community in Jalan Sungai Tengah area today.

He said such a visit is crucial in identifying the needs of the community in order to assist them.

“This morning we started the house-to-house visit programme in Matang area to identify how we can help those who are in need.

“I see that there are some families who really need assistance especially in terms of welfare to obtain further aid.

“Similarly for mothers who have lost their ability due to illness, children with disabilities (OKU), individuals whose ability are affected because they are accident victims and others also need certain assistance as well,” he said.

He said this after completing the ‘FY Ziarah Kasih program’ at the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) hall.

Through the visit, Fadillah visited six houses from the targeted groups to listen to their needs and to further enhance his relationship with the local community.
