PNSB receives order worth RM5.49 million

KUCHING: Perdana Petroleum Bhd’s (PPB) wholly-owned subsidiary Perdana Nautika Sdn Bhd (PNSB) has received a work order for the provision of one unit of accommodation work barge (AWB) worth RM5.49 million.

The work order was awarded by Vantage Well Services Sdn Bhd (the charterer), a subsidiary of Vantage Energy Group Sdn Bhd.

The contract is for 90 days with expected commencement date of May 28, 2022, with extension option of up to 35 days, PPB said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

“PNSB shall provide the charterer the use of one unit of AWB vessel with towing facilities for the Sarawak Offshore 2022 facilities work.

The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of PPB group for the financial year ending 31 December 2022,” it added.

PPB group owns six AWB vessels, eight anchor handling tug supply vessels and two workboats.

Meanwhile, Reservoir Link Sdn Bhd (RLSB) has been appointed by Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd as a panel contractor for the umbrella contract for the provision of well testing and tubing conveyed perforations for Petroleum arrangement contracts (PACs) for Package II: Light weight well test services.

The appointment is for three years, from April 6, 2022 to April 5, 2025, said Reservoir Link Energy Bhd (RLEB), which owns 100 per cent equity interest in RLSB.

The scope of works as a panel contractor shall include but not limited to the followings:

  • To provide, supply and maintain the necessary tools, equipment, accessories and spare parts of surface well test services, sampling services, well test related supporting services primarily for offshore rigs and offshore platforms;
  • To perform any related services in conjunction with hydrocarbon producing, well testing operation and data acquisition services;
  • To provide real time data transmission, software/applications and access with multiple user ID & passwords for remote viewing the well testing data, as part of the data acquisition services;
  • To provide front end engineering (e.g. P&IF, PFD, lay out, rig visit report, string diagram, temperature profile, gear radiation simulation & analysis, noise analysis, erosion rates ) for each well, string analysis as a part of the preparation covered under the preparation/cancellation charges;
  • When required, to perform appropriate services adhering to specific certification body/rig requirement; and
  • When required, to perform landing string analysis/study, either in house or by appropriate body.

The works, according to RLEB, will be procured by the respective PAC based on its requirement through mini bidding exercise.

“The price for the performance of works shall depend on the mini bidding exercise by the respective PAC. Pursuant to the mini bidding exercise, the successful contractor shall execute a formal agreement with the respective PAC for the works,” it told Bursa Malaysia.

LEB said the appointment is expected to contribute positively towards the group for financial year ending Dec 31, 2022 and beyond during the effective date.
