Police on the lookout for three men involved in armed gang-robbery case

SERIAN: Police here are on the hunt for three men who had allegedly robbed an employee at a thrift store yesterday (Nov 18).

Serian OCPD DSP Aswandy Anis in a statement, urged the public to channel any information related to the incident.

He pointed out that the incident happened around 4.40pm at Tarat Jaya when three unknown men entered the store through the back door.

They then held an employee at knife point and instructed the victim to open up the drawer.

“A sum of RM5,000, an iPhone 13 Pro, identification card and store documents, were taken from the drawer.

“The suspects, who are believed to be locals, later fled the scene with a blue Toyota Vios,” he said.

Aswandy noted that the case is being investigated under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code for armed gang robbery.

The Section carries a jail term of up to 20 years, and whipping, on conviction.
