MIRI: Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau has sounded the alarm on a nightmare section of the Lapok to Long Lama road that is riddled with potholes.
“It involves 25km stretch of road, and we are urging the government to repair and upgrade this section for the safety of the road users who commute through this road daily,” he said.
Dennis disclosed that during the previous state legislative assembly sitting, he had raised the issue.
He said he had also raised this matter with State Secretary Dato Sri Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki.
Dennis said, hundreds of lorries pass through this road with heavy loads daily.
“For small cars, it is especially difficult and dangerous … for parents sending their children to nearby SJK (C) Kee Tee from Lapok n small vehicles it is very dangerous,” he said, highlighting the dangers of negotiating this road.
