KUCHING: The Hikmah Exchange Event Centre is in full swing with preparations for the upcoming town hall session “Seven-Year Townhall Session with YAB Premier,” set to take place tonight, January 13, at 8.30 pm in the Satok Ballroom.

A survey conducted by New Sarawak Tribune this afternoon saw meticulous preparations at the venue, specifically focusing on the main stage and guest seating arrangements.

The on-site crew was also diligently performing sound, lighting, and stage checks, ensuring a seamless execution of the programme.

The event is expecting approximately 1,000 attendees, including distinguished guests from the state cabinet and heads of departments at both state and federal levels.

Notably, a significant portion of the audience comprises individuals, aged 18 to 40, encompassing students, young CEOs, working professionals, and representatives from youth associations and non-governmental organisations.

Additionally, participants from institutions of higher learning (IPTA/IPTS) and persons with disabilities (OKU) will also be in attendance.

The town hall discussion will delve into topics such as “Sarawak 2030: Sustainable Leadership” and “Sarawak Maju Makmur,” hosted by Syed Munawar featuring political analyst Professor Datuk Dr Sivamurugan Pandian and entrepreneur Mona Abdul Manap.

Scheduled for a duration of 90 minutes, with two commercial breaks interspersed, the event promises an in-depth exploration into Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s achievements during his seven-year tenure as Premier of Sarawak, along with a glimpse into his future plans for the state.
