MIRI: Kolej Komuniti’s life-long learning Madani programme has entered the Malaysia Book of Records for being the largest participation programme being held simultaneously nationwide today (Saturday).

In Miri, a total of 300 participants registered for four courses offered during the carnival today.

These courses are mobile video editing; yellow noodle making; reflexology massage and drone handling.

According to Minister of Transport cum Senadin assemblyman Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin, the Education Department of Polytechnic and Community Colleges is targeting the participation of more than 20,000 participants for 444 types of short courses conducted simultaneously at Community Colleges throughout Malaysia.

This is in conjunction with the establishment of Community Colleges in the country for two decades.

“Lifelong learning is a form of self initiated education that is focused on personal development and further skills beyond an individual’s formal or compulsory education to pursuit and learn more, gain new skills or support their professional development,” he said on Saturday at the launching of the carnival at Miri Indoor Stadium.
