Public talks on innovation by SDI, UTS

KUCHING: The Sarawak Development Institute (SDI) and the University of Technology Sarawak (UTS) will organise two public talks featuring speakers from Namibia and Germany next week.

These talks will focus on the topics of digital inclusion, innovation, and resilience.

The first talk, called “A Global South Perspective on Digital Inclusion and Resilience,” will be given by Prof. Heike Winschiers-Theophilus from the Namibia University of Technology.

It will take place on Monday, July 24, at 2.30 pm in the Conference Room at Kompleks AZAM.

The second talk, organised in collaboration with the Institute of Teacher Education Batu Lintang Campus, is titled “Technologies, Tools, and Techniques for Online Design-Based Activities with Children.”

It will be presented by Prof. Heike Winschiers-Theophilus, Dr. Naska Goagoses from Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, Germany, and Associate Professor Dr. Tariq Zaman from UTS.

The talk will be held on Tuesday, July 25, at 9.30am in the Auditorium at the Institute of Teacher Education Batu Lintang Campus.

Both talks are open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
