MIRI: The co-curricular achievements of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Jalan Bintang pupils were celebrated in a special award presentation ceremony here yesterday. A total of 135 pupils from Primary One to Five received their respective awards presented by Miri Member of Parliament Dr Michael Teo and the school principal Ahmad Othman.

The award presentation was aimed at complimenting the pupils’ co-curricular activities alongside their academic studies. Meanwhile, Dr Teo lauded the continuous support from the school and parents in encouraging the pupils to excel in both their academic and co-curricular activities.

“Co-curricular activities are an essential part of the school to bring about social co-operation,” he said.  He hoped that the excellence award serves as a motivation for students to continue honing their skills.
