“The PH government’s intention to bring the development to all corners of the nation including Sarawak will be implemented under MRD. It had been explained by its Deputy Minister, Sivarasa Rasiah when he visited Selangau recently,” he said.

He pointed that during that official visit, Sivarasa stressed that the focus of providing the basic infrastructures to the people would be a colour blind kind of approach.

“As the PKR Branch Head for Mukah Parliamentary Area, I feel I have the responsibility to pass the message of this deputy minister. YB Sivarasa said that the provision of basic infrastructures to the people would be carried out regardless of political, races and religious backgrounds,” he added.

Jalil stated this while speaking at the formation of Sungai Setuan Kecil PKR Sub-branch, held at Rumah Meling longhouse, near here, over the weekend.

“As the party grassroots members, we have the responsibility to relay the message of the government’s higher leadership so that it would be understood in a crystal clear manner by the people.

The deputy minister said that among the focused areas would be the development of roads, clean water and electric supply,” added Jalil.

He reiterated that it was so because these basic facilities were not only vital but also the rights of the people and that provision was the responsiblity of the government of the day.

On the formation of the sub-branch, Jalil, regarded it as an important step especially in bringing the problems faced at the grassroots level especially those in rural area like Sungai Setuan.

“Hence, it is hoped that the formation of the Sub-branch would be able to enrich and strengthen the democracy within the party and directly be able to create a healthy political landscape of the nation,” he disclosed.
