MIRI: Quick thinking by a staff of a retail shop at Jalan Miri Airport yesterday morning prevented a fire from spreading.
The staff immediately used a fire extinguisher to put out a fire he saw on the main switchboard of the shop.
According to Miri Fire Zone 6 chief Supt Law Poh Kiong, a fire engine carrying five firemen from Lopeng fire station rushed to the scene in response to an alert at 9.48am.
The firemen ended their operation at 10.29am.
