KUCHING: Two repeat offenders with five previous arrests have been nabbed again — this time for drug possession.

The duo, aged 45 and 48, were picked up during a police raid at a flat along Ban Hock Road here.

State Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) Supt Hasnir Abdul Hamid said the raid also resulted in the seizure of 5.84g of syabu with an estimated street value of RM600.

“During the raid, the 45-year-old suspect was alone in the premises, and we found a sling bag with 12 plastic packets containing crystalline substance believed to be syabu.

He said the second suspect was arrested when he came for his supply of drugs. Both suspects were taken to the police headquarters and where they tested positive for drugs.

Further checks found that the 45-year-old suspect had been arrested four times and the other, five times.
