KOTA SAMARAHAN: A motorcyclist died on the spot after he rear-ended a lorry, causing him to be thrown off his vehicle before being ran over by a car near Kampung Tambir here last night (Sept 4).
The fatal accident happened around 8 pm when the victim, identified as Mohd Hairul Ikhmal Loreng, 24, was traveling from Kampung Mata Parang to Kampung Tambir.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Kota Samarahan fire station were deployed to the scene after being alerted to the incident.
Upon arrival, the team found the victim stuck under the car and wasted no time to extricate him.
The victim was handed over to the paramedics at the scene who confirmed the victim died at the scene. His body was handed over to the police for further action.
Meanwhile, the drivers of the lorry and car did escaped injuries.
