KUCHING: Good news for domestic power customers who are listed under the eKasih assistance in Sarawak as they are going to enjoy RM40 electricity rebate effective January 1 next year.
A statement issued yesterday by Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) chief executive officer Sharbini Suhaili said the rebate programme was introduced by the Malaysian Government was aimed at providing a more focused assistance.
“The rebate is able to benefit the poor and hard-core poor citizens nationwide,” the statement said.
It added that the rebate is only eligible for domestic users under the eKasih assistance.
Following the new initiative, the current RM20 electricity rebate will end this month.
