SARIKEI: The Sarawak government has successfully implemented at least 100 Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) projects in Repok over the past four years.

Assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii said the RTP projects had greatly benefited his constituents.

“A total of 16 different projects were successfully implemented in 2016, 28 projects in 2017, 17 projects in 2018 and 44 projects this year.

“All of the RTPs are used to build and repair longhouses, public halls, villages, surau, churches, temples, schools, multipurpose halls and many more,” he said.

“We are also going to upgrade the Muslim cemeteries, St Anthony’s Methodist church, building a new toilet for SK Tanah Putih, SK Selangan and upgrading Meruton and Merudu roads,” added Huang, during a visit to a RTP project site on Monday.

He said the implementation of high-impact development projects such as the Pasi river bridge and new routes to

Tanjung Manis would benefit the people.

“Gabungan Parti Sarawak has its own plans that will benefit the people in the long run. Therefore, we need support to continue the development agenda.

“This cannot be carried out in a short time because it requires careful planning. I guarantee that we will continue to provide the best service to the people,” Huang said.
