BELADIN: Rural students must demonstrate that they are as proficient in English as their urban counterparts, said Batang Lupar MP Mohamad Shafizan Kepli.

Because of that, he encouraged children from primary school to Form Five to strengthen their grasp of the English language.

“An excellent command of English is really useful when you go to university.

“I appeal to teachers and parents to help children improve their command of English as much as possible,” he added.

Shafizan said this while officiating at the Appreciation and Excellence Ceremony for Form Five Session 2023/2024 of SMK Beladin near Dewan Sri Meladin  yesterday.

He said that mastery of the English language was essential in the present complex environment.

“It is part of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)…which are closely related.

“So, try to master English as best you can. Train yourself from childhood. I believe teachers are doing their best to help,” he said.
