KUCHING: Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (Petros) and the Sarawak government have channeled RM1 million and RM300,000 respectively to the Association of Wives of Ministers and Assistant Ministers of Sarawak (Sabati).

According to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, the said funds were channeled to aid the association in continuing their charity works planned by its members especially in the education sector.

“With this assistance, we are confident that it can be used as best as possible to help the less fortunate, especially students in rural areas.

“Petros as the third largest oil company in Malaysia hopes that the funds given to Sabati will benefit the community as a whole,” he said during the launching of Laila Gallery at Wisma Sabati here today (Nov 19).
