KUCHING: Samantha Andra Razak of Kampung Skibang, Bau beat 16 other finalists in the Bitanding Dayung Gawea Tematu 2017 pageant for the coveted title, walking away with a cash prize of RM1,600.
Coming in second and third in the competition were Odleen Catherny Morfor, from Kampung Suba Bandar, Bau, and Oasis Norun Favian, from Kampung Tanjung Poting, Singai, Bau. They received a cash prize of RM1,300 and RM1,000 respectively.
All top three winners also received a trophy, a sash, a bouquet of flowers, hampers and certificate for winning.
Subsidiary titles and its winners were; Miss Popularity (Odleen), Miss Personality (Agerine Atek), Miss Talent (Stephanie Michael Bakat), Miss Photogenic (Cornelia Natasha Ernest) and Best Costume (Odleen).
Each subsidiary title winner received cash prize of RM200, a trophy and a sash.
Batu Kitang state assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang also attended the event.
