KUCHING: Saraspice Sdn Bhd had the pleasure of hosting a two-day visit for a group of Japanese clients who were eager to learn more about its operations here.

The visit began with a dialogue session together with representatives from the Department of Agriculture (DOA) Sarawak and the Malaysian Pepper Board (MPB) which took place at Pullman hotel.

After the dialogue session, the Japanese delegates toured the Saraspice Sales Gallery and its headquarters as well as visited the MPB processing plant and Saraspice Kuching warehouse.

“During the visit to the plant and warehouse, they were given firsthand experience of pepper receiving and processing operations,” said DOA Sarawak in a social media post.

The department disclosed that the second day of the visit comprising an educational tour of pepper farms was eye-opening to the Japanese delegates.

“They managed to obtain knowledge on how our pepper veins are grown, the variety of peppers found in Sarawak and how the pepper farmers manager their pepper farms sustainably,’” it said.
