KUCHING: The Sarawak State Sports Council (MSNS) is looking for potential cyclists who can make the grade to become future champions with immediate selection for the Sukma 2018 cycling team.
Sarawak cycling coach Leon Schepers, who is in charge of training and development of the Sarawak cycling team, said the coaches engaged by the MSNS must be willing to work with all the cyclists in the State.
“We at the Sports Council would like to invite all cyclists who are not born later than the year 1997 to form part of our cycling team.
“Also, we are willing to come to your town and train with you at your respective towns on certain days and you need not be in the Kuching area to solve the logistics problems.
“We are especially looking for talented athletes outside of Kuching as it forms part of our Long Term Athlete Development Plan for cycling.”
According to Leon, the only condition is that those interested must have a their own bicycle and the willingness to train.
