UiTM Chamber Choir is among the much-awaited performers at this weekend's SIFMA 2022.

KUCHING: The Sarawak International Festival of Music & Arts (SIFMA) 2022 happening this weekend from 7.30pm onwards at the new State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Building here will be an eventful one filled with a variety of programmes.

SIFMA, in a press statement yesterday, said the programmes are such as the Bamboo Event Weekend, Ethnic Instruments, Rhythm of Sarawak, Chorale Concert Night, and the Malaysian Society for Music and Medicine (MSSM) Music Heals International Conference and Workshop.

“This weekend on the DUN stage, SIFMA will witness, for the first time, a combined choir collective featuring three of Sarawak’s best choristers, Dolce Chanticleer led by Sabrina Tnay, St Joseph’s Chamber Choir led by Benedict Lo and Lodge National School Choir led by Anthony Wong and conducted by Thomas Kuek from Singapore.

“Choral fans will also be thrilled with performances by UiTM Chamber Choir and Singapore’s Victoria Chorale, who are among the much-awaited acts at SIFMA night,” it said.

Lovers of music and the arts will also be treated to performances by Halili Cruz School of Ballet, Shilp Maitri Studios, Ganesh Kriti, Esme Wong, and many more during the big SIFMA night this weekend!
