Sarawak records 10 new cases

KUCHING: The state registered 10 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday (Jan 25).

This was a slight increase of three cases, compared to Monday’s seven cases.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in its daily update said the cumulative number of cases now stood at 252,719.

“Of the new cases, three were asymptomatic, while six cases had mild symptoms and one case with lung infection which required the use of a ventilator,” it said.

SDMC said Miri and Sibu recorded the most cases with three each, followed by Limbang (two), and Sarikei and Pusa (one each).

No new death cases were reported.

“There are also no new clusters detected, with the number of clusters in the state now at zero,” it added.
