SARIKEI: The Sarawak government has achieved significant economic development across multiple sectors since the initiation of the digital economy agenda in 2018.

Federal Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change, Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii, highlighted the direct impact of this success on the agricultural sector, palm oil industry, e-commerce, and financial technology, resulting in intensified growth.

“This economic development aligns with the Premier’s vision of transforming Sarawak into a developed and high-income state by 2030,” he said.

Huang made these remarks during the Pengerami Mantar Gawai Dayak 2023 ceremony held on Monday (May 29).

With this success, he pointed out that all government allocations received would be utilised to address the needs and welfare of the people in his constituency.

“I will continue my efforts and make use of every cent and ringgit allocated by the Sarawak government, including additional funds from the Unity Government, for the betterment of the people here.”
