KUCHING: Sarawak’s very own young tennis star, nine-year-old Yoshi Kho, has made headlines by clinching the under-10 boys singles title at the just-concluded TennisMalaysia Junior Tour SportExcel Leg 3 in Melaka.

In the final match, Yoshi faced off against the formidable Mak Zoo-M of Selangor in a gruelling match that went down to the wire.

However, Yoshi managed to emerge victorious with a score of 4-1 5-4(9-7), earning his first big win and cementing his status as one of Malaysia’s most promising young tennis talents.

Yoshi, a student at SJKC Stampin Kuching, has been playing tennis competitively for the past three years and has already shown remarkable potential at such a young age.

Despite being one of the youngest players in the tournament, Yoshi managed to defeat most of his opponents, many of whom were a year older than him.
