SBTCA members call on Lee

KUCHING : Members of the Sarawak Bus Transport Companies Association (SBTCA) yesterday paid a courtesy call on Transport Minister Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin at his office in Petra Jaya here.

A press statement said during the meeting, the chairman of the association, Mohd Atan Abdullah, introduced the new members of the committee for the year 2023-2025 to Lee.

During the courtesy visit, the SBTCA members raised several issues including shortage of bus drivers, bus fares, operation permits and the need for a regional bus terminal.

It is learnt that the Transport Ministry will bring up these matters to the relevant agencies such as Commercial Vehicles Licensing Board (CVLB), Road Transport Department (JPJ) as well as the Federal Ministry of Transport Malaysia.
