School celebrates 90th anniversary today

SIBU: The 90th anniversary celebration of SJKC Dung Sang will be held today. 

From 10am to noon, it will be “Alumni Back to School Day” at the school.

Its former pupils will return to the school to learn about its current situation as well as participate in recreational activities. 

The 90th anniversary thank you dinner for over 1,000 people will be held at the banquet hall on the sixth floor of Kingwood Hotel at 6.30pm today. The guest of honour will be Tang Kie Hiong, an alumnus of the school. 

The dinner guests will be treated to a special video on the 90th anniversary celebration of the school. 

Long term service souvenirs will be presented to those who have taught or served in Dung Sang School for more than 10 years. 

At the same time, the alumni will also hand over mock cheques for the sponsorship building fund to the board of directors at the dinner.

In addition to the welcome dance, there will also be a Sichuan ‘face-changing’ opera, solo performances, martial arts performances and a lucky draw. 

All guests will also receive a special souvenir in conjunction with the 90th anniversary celebration. A magazine marking the 90th anniversary of the founding of the school will also be distributed.

The organising committee of the event thanks Dung Sang alumni, the school board, teachers, students and parents for their support.
