THE condition of the deceased motorbike after the Sunday evening crash.

MIRI : A sawmill worker died when his motorbike went out of control and skidded into a drain at Senadin Roundabout next to Tenby International School here Sunday evening.

In the 10.30pm incident, the deceased Thomas Jupan, 42, died of serious head injuries.

According to District Police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah the deceased was driving alone from Kuala Baram Bypass to Senadin.

“Based on initial investigation, the victim was believed to have ridden speedily a Yamaha Legenda motorbike to the extent that it went out of control and hit the concrete side of the roundabout and fell into the drain.

“He died instantly on the spot due to serious head injuries,” said the police chief. Lim pointed out the remains of the deceased were brought to Miri Hospital for further action. “The case is probed under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,” he said.
