KUCHING: Seven Seas Voyager berthed yesterday at Senari Port near Kuching with more than 700 international passengers, said a press release yesterday.

Passengers were welcomed with a colourful traditional welcoming and a garlanding ceremony by a 10-member cultural group from the Carma Performing Arts Group from Kuching, sponsored by Sarawak Tourism Board.

The Voyager is on its 48-Nights “Singapore – Hong Kong” route and Kuching is its seventh port of call. While docking at the Senari port, passengers were able to experience the State’s tourist attractions with their local tours covering Kuching City and Sarawak River Cruise and the Sarawak Cultural Village for a cultural theme dinner.

This year, Kuching is expected to receive seven cruise ships while in 2017, 1,964 cruise passengers arrived in Sarawak as compared to 3,782 in 2016 and 3,646 in 2015.
