KUCHING: The Senari Synergy Group has raised RM10,000 in funds to be channelled towards humanitarian efforts in Gaza.

The handing over of the funds, collected from staff and friends of the company, was held at Department of Islamic Development Malaysia’s (JAKIM) office on Wednesday (Jan 31).

Group managing director Jefri Ahmad Tambi expressed his appreciation for the concerted effort, and thanked JAKIM for their willingness to help channel their contribution to Palestine.

“We are deeply moved by the kindness and generosity shown by our employees and friends of Senari Synergy in supporting the humanitarian initiative for the people of Gaza.

“The RM10,000 raised may just be a small token, but it goes a long way to show the spirit of togetherness and compassion among Senari Synergy staff and friends towards the plight of the people in Gaza,” he said in a statement.

Jefri said it is heartening to see individuals and organisations unite for a greater purpose in times of hardship and adversity.

“We stand in solidarity for the good cause for the people of Palestine who are in dire need of assistance. Alone we can do little, together we can do so much,” he further added.

During the event, Senari Synergy Group presented the contribution from the sale of t-shirts, mufflers and DemiMu Palestin badges to their employees, immediate families, and friends.

“Proceeds from the sale were collected during the DemiMu Palestin #senaribersamamu campaign, which was held from 11 November to 12 December last year,” he added.
