PADAWAN: Primary schools in the Mambong constituency are encouraged to send outstanding students to the Sarawak Foundation International School.

State Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Dr. Jerip Susil hoped that every primary school in the constituency would take advantage of the opportunity offered.

“This is to ensure that B40 students in rural areas continue to progress in education and not fall behind.

“In addition, the Sarawak government is committed to advancing the education sector by establishing five secondary schools that provide education of an international standard,” he said while speaking at the Appreciation Ceremony for Outstanding Students 2023/2024 of SK Pangkalan Ampat here on Thursday.

In this regard, Jerip, who is also the Mambong assemblyman, praised the performance shown by the teaching staff at the school.

He also urged the school management to list the needs for building improvements and school development.

At the same time, he announced the approval of the 2023 Minor Rural Project (MRP) fund of RM45,000.
