BINTANGOR: A female senior citizen was burnt to death when an afternoon fire destroyed a 38-door Rumah Labang Sungai Tulai here yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Saripah Serang, 83.
Bintangor Fire Station chief, Nicholas Belulin said 19 personnel in two fire engines were dispatched to the scene after being informed at 12.20pm.
He said the longhouse, measuring 20×80 metres, was totally destroyed in the incident.
He added that the cause of the fire and total loss were still under investigation.
