KUCHING: The Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Haji Johari Tun Openg yesterday received seven courtesy calls at his office in the DUN Complex in Petra Jaya, here.

The first call was from officials of Mutiara Mortgage & Credit which is a subsidiary of Sarawak Housing Development Commission.

This was followed by visitors from RHB Islamic Bank who handed over business tithe amounting to RM300, 000 for the state Baitulmal Fund.

The third group of visitors were officials of the Co-op Bank Persatuan Malaysia.

Theerafter the Chief Minister received call from the organising committee members of Pesta Benak Sri Aman 2018 led by Sri Aman Resident, Indit Bangai.

The Chief Minister later received a courtesy call by the Ambassador of Denmark to Malaysia, Jesper Vahr.

A delegation from the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia was the sixth group of visitors to call on the Chief Minister yesterday.

The purpose of the visit was to brief Abang Johari on the 23rd Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors Congress that will be hosted by Kuching next year.

The last courtesy call for the day was from the city councils of Kuching South and Kuching North to brief the Chief Minister on and to invite him to attend the City Day do next month.

The delegation was led by Mayor of Kuching City South Dato James Chan Kay Syn and his counterpart Datuk Abang Abdul Wahap Abang Julai.
