KUCHING: Police in Padawan, near here, believe that they had smashed a motorcycle theft syndicate with the arrest of five men and a woman after midnight on Monday.
After receiving information, police raided a house in the Matang area and arrested the six, aged between 22 and 41.
Seized from them were two motorcycles which the police had confirmed were stolen.
False plate numbers were fixed on the two stolen bikes. All the six suspects were tested positive for drugs.
The suspects were detained for further questionings.
