KUCHING: Six people were arrested in anti-drug raid on a house at Kampung Tabuan Lot here, last Monday.
Following a public tip-off, a team from the Kuching District Police Headquarters here carried out the raid at 1.30pm.
The six aged between 16 and 36 years, were detained after the police found 20 straw tubes and a plastic packet containing crystalline substance believed to be ‘syabu’ with an estimated weight of 11.04 grammes worth RM1,987.
Kuching Police District chief, ACP Abang Ahmad Abang Julai confirmed the arrests and said all the six suspects were tested positive for drugs.
He also said the case is being investigated under Section 39A of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1952, which provides for a life imprisonment upon conviction.
