KUCHING: A total of 100 people yesterday (Oct 4) received state awards from Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud during an investiture ceremony held at Dewan Besar Astana Negeri.
Five of them received Pingat Pentadbiran Awam, Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (Silver) (PPB); they were Matu Daro District Council secretary Ahmad Jerry Hashim; Chief Assistant Director of Integrity Section of the Chief Minister’s Department Shamsul Bojeng; Chiew Chee Yau; Norliza Eileen Ibrahim and Zuraida Idris.
There were 30 recipients of the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam, Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (Bronze) (PPT) while 65 others received Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak, Bentara Bintang Sarawak (BBS).
The Head of State’s wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Ragad Kurdi Taib; Assistant Minister of Transport Datuk Dr Jerip Susil; Assistant Minister of Industrial Development Datuk Malcolm Mussen Lamoh and his wife were among those who witnessed the ceremony.
Taib presents the PPB Silver award to Ahmad Jerry.
