KUCHING: A 51-year-old man was found dead in his car at a parking lot in Jalan Dusun here today.
According to a spokesperson from Kuching district police headquarters (IPD), a call was received from the public regarding a suspicious-looking Proton Saga car at a parking lot.
“The call also mentioned that the man could have committed suicide as a hose was seen inserted into the car’s exhaust pipe.”
Upon receiving the report, a team from Kuching IPD and Sarawak contingent police headquarters (IPK) along with medical officers arrived at the location, and made an inspection.
“The medical officer pronounced the victim dead on the scene. Further investigation did not find any signs of injury on the victim.
“The case has been classified as sudden death due to earlier investigation of no foul play at the scene.”
The body was taken to Sarawak General Hospital.
