SUPP Stakan committee pays courtesy call on rep

KUCHING: Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Stakan branch committee, led by the chairman Sim Kiang Chiok, paid a courtesy call on Stakan State Assemblyman Dato Sri Haji Mohd Ali Mahmud at his service centre there, on Wednesday.

The visitors spent time discussing with the people’s representative on matters arising in the constituency.

Apart from the briefing by Sim, they also discussed bilateral efforts to strengthen ties in the state Barisan Nasional.

Among matters discussed are the overlapping areas under the jurisdictions of Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) and Padawan Municipal Councl (MPP) and how the two parties as well as the community leaders could work together for the smooth service delivery for the people.

SUPP Stakan is amongst the latest branches set up after the last state election and has been on the ground since January 2017. The branch has been concentrating on building a rapport with agencies, non-governmental organisations and community leaders in the constituency.

Sim and entourage also made courtesy visits to MPKS, MPP and Samarahan Resident’s Office to have  better understanding and rapport for SUPP Stakan to serve the people better.
