KUCHING: Immigration Department Sarawak director Datuk Ken Leben has been transferred to Putrajaya as the deputy director-general (Control) of the Malaysian Immigration Department effective yesterday (Feb 8).

Ken, from Sungai Aup in Sibu, paid a courtesy call on Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah at his office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia today.

He served as the state immigration director for the past seven years.

Earlier, Uggah also received a courtesy visit from Professor Dr Suriani Abu Bakar, the deputy vice chancellor (Research and Innovation) of Sultan Idris Education University in Tanjung Malim, Perak.
