KUCHING: The Sarawak Biodiversity Centre will host a talk on Technology Triage: How to Assess the Prospects of Commercialising a Project, on July 13.

The talk will be given by Philip Mendes, a professor at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia.

“The talk will deal with the criteria to decide how projects can be prioritised for investment or whether they should be culled,” a press release stated.

Mendes has 25 years of experience working as a technology transaction lawyer who consults with institutions, the government, and private businesses on issues related to intellectual property, technology transfer, and commercialisation.

He was also appointed by the Australian Government to its Advisory Council for six years providing consultation on intellectual property and innovation policy.
