KOTA SAMARAHAN: Police have arrested a teenage boy for allegedly stealing a Honda EX5 motorcycle during an operation dubbed ‘Ops Lejang’.
According to the Kota Samarahan district police headquarters (IPD), the 17-year-old boy was picked up in Bandar Riyal area on Tuesday.
The teenager was spotted riding the motorcycle in a suspicious condition.
During examination, the team found that the motorcycle’s chassis and engine number had been tampered with.
Following that, the teenager along with the motorcycle was taken to Kota Samarahan IPD for further action. The case is being investigated under Section 379A of the Penal Code for theft of a motor vehicle, which carries a jail term of up to seven years and fine, upon conviction.
