KUCHING: Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS) chairman, Datuk Len Talif Salleh, was honoured with the Leadership Legacy in Digital Entrepreneurship Development at the International Business Review (IBR) Borneo Awards 2023 on Friday.

This accolade recognises his important contributions as TEGAS chairman in bolstering the state government’s initiatives aimed at cultivating a robust ecosystem for Digital Entrepreneurs and Digital Innovation within Sarawak since TEGAS’s establishment in 2012.

Further, it noted the inception of his efforts began with endorsing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in partnership with the state government in 2012. Since then, initiatives such as the Sarawak Career and Training Fair (SCaT Fair), TEGAS partner seminars, and the National Service Training Programme (NS) TVET Day have been implemented.

“In 2017, aligning with the strategic vision of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, TEGAS expanded its role to assist the government in empowering start-up enterprises through digital means and in advocating for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education to prepare the youth for Industry 4.0,” the statement said.
