Temple to hold street procession tomorrow

MUKAH:  A street procession to mark the 140th anniversary of a temple, Mukah Tua Pek Kong, will be held here tomorrow (Oct 19).

Tai Shan Ting Believers Association of Mukah Tua Pek Kong is organising the event which will commence at 3pm until 8pm.

The organisers said several roads in the town will be closed during the procession.

The procession will begin from the compound of the temple along the main road in the old town, entering Boulevard Setia Raja 1 and passing through several roads.

The roads are Jalan Orang Kaya Setia Raja (in front of Fatma Kafe & Catering), Jalan Mukah New Township Extension, Jalan Setia 2, Lingkungan Setia Raja, Jalan Orang Kaya Setia Raja (Nam Leong Supermarket area), Jalan Mukah New Township (Food Garden and 2020 Accessories, Chai Guan Bookstore area), Jalan Orang Kaya Setia Raja to Jalan Pinang, Kingwood Hotel to Medan Setia Raja (One Stop Centre area), Boulevard Setia Raja 2, Jalan Haji Mohd Pauzi (Mukah Foochow Association area) and Jalan Panggung
(leading to Tua Pek Kong).

Meanwhile, a dinner will be held at a resort here tonight in conjunction with the
anniversary celebration.
