KUCHING: The State Health Department (JKNS) will provide facilities for Covid-19 testing at five health clinics here starting this Friday (Oct 30).

Its director Dr Chin Zin Hing said there had been much demand for such testing facilities from concerned individuals who felt that they may have had contact with positive Covid-19 cases, but they were not in JKNS’ list of contacts.

“Starting this Friday, we will provide these testing services at Batu Kawa Health Clinic, Kota Sentosa Health Clinic, Tanah Puteh Health Clinic, Petra Jaya Health Clinic, and Jalan Masjid Health Clinic,” he said at the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) Covid-19 update press conference on Wednesday (Oct 28).

He urged those who wished to undergo Covid-19 testing at these clinics to call up the clinic first to make an appointment.

“We do not want everyone to come all at once as this can cause overcrowding, and we also want to reduce waiting time,” said Dr Chin.
