Thermal scanners proposed for Sungai Tujoh entry point

MIRI: The Transport Ministry will propose that thermal scanners be installed at the Sungai Tujoh entry point here to help detect travellers who might be infected with the novel coronovirus.

This was disclosed by Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin as he waited for    Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg to arrive at his residence at Jalan Woodhouse in Tanjong Lobang here.

“We have thermal scanners at Miri Airport but not at Sungai Tujoh, and we will propose to the Medical Department the installation of the thermal scanners there,” said Lee.

Abang Johari was accompanied by his wife Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang as he paid a Chinese New Year visit on Lee.

Also present were Urban Development and Resources Minister (II) Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Hasan, Tourism, Arts and Culture Miniser Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Local Government and Local Housing Assistant Minister Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil, Law, State-Federal Relations and Project Monitoring Assistant Minister Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali and other State cabinet ministers.
