This warning has been issued due to indications of thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm/hour, which is likely to persist for an hour or more.
Thunderstorm warnings are short-term alerts valid for a maximum of six hours for a particular forecast area. The warning was issued at 9am today.
