KUCHING: An Indonesian and a Sarawakian were arrested on Monday afternoon for riding a motorcycle with fake number plates.
A police team went to Tabuan Dayak near here at about 2 pm to conduct a check on a Honda motorcycle when they saw two men behaving suspiciously.
The motorcycle has no chassis number and also no registration document for it.
The Indonesian aged 27 did not have any identity papers while the other person from Kampung Seremban Pantu, Sri Aman aged 16 failed to explain where and how they were in possession of the motorcycle.
They were both detained for suspected motorcycle theft further questioning.
The Indonesian was also to be charged under the Immigration Act.
